Gandhi was a really special person. He was a Hindu. He wanted an equal government for his people. He was discriminated when he went to work as a lawyer. He has impacted many peoples lives. He led his people to a better life. When the Hindu and Muslin separated into two countries, he tried to unite the two cultures. He did not like to fight. When he wanted to say something he would rather go in food starvation. He would go into food starvation because he thought that people would listen to him better and also because he had a strong point to say. Like many other great leaders he did not like crime.
When he got a job in South Africa he discovers the discrimination to Indian immigrants. They were taken away their civil rights. They could not do certain things. They could not go on first class on the train. Even if they had the money to ride the first class train. They had to travel around town with passports. He wanted more rights. He led his people into a revolution.
He got put in to jail many times. When he got arrested he did not fight against the police men. He did not believe in fighting. When he led his people he told them not to fight. That was a bad thing. He got stronger each time he led his people. The last time he got arrested he went fasting. When the people saw him fast they relies what had Gandhi meant.

They were excluding the people of their rights because they were from India. In India he got rid of the British . If he did not exist their probably British will still be in India and the Indian in South Africa would not have their rights today.
